About this event

A fear of public speaking can have a significant impact on your career, which is pretty obvious when you consider just how pervasive presentations are—from the boardroom to the pitch room to meetings, nearly every industry and job involves some form of speaking in front of a group.

This hour class will introduce you to the fundamentals of improvisation (improv), developing the core principles of: listening, accepting and celebrating mistakes, working as an ensemble, trusting your own ideas, understanding body language and practicing how to play. Improv is a great way to develop public speaking skills, build creative confidence, learn to express ideas clearly and laugh.

This class is being run by Callum Goodwilliam, an Education Programme Manager and coach at General Assembly London. He regularly provides public speaking coaching as part of his work for GA London, trained in improv at the Second City in Toronto and has previously run an improv theatre school.

(Please note, this class is raising money for the London Air Ambulance, whilst it’s free to attend, we’d encourage a minimum donation of £5).
