About this workshop

Ideation is a critical process for generating new ideas as well as developing good concepts into effective courses of action. Ideation is not a mysterious ability that some people have and others don’t. Rather, it’s an active process that anyone can learn. This workshop demystifies the ideation process, teaching methods for sideways thinking and idea generation, including questioning assumptions, redefining impediments as opportunities, reverse dream engineering, mind maps, the ‘worst idea’ principle, etc. There will also be a discussion on the possibilities and impacts of existing and future technologies, and how to use future forecasting to generate innovative ideas and be market predictive rather than market responsive.
