Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for individuals and organizations to move ahead. Three-quarters of women around the world experience bias at work while less than a third of employees are able to recognise bias when they see it. This makes it harder for women to be hired and promoted, and for companies to level the playing field.
Each and every one of us deserves a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive, where difference is valued and celebrated.
Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough; action is needed to level the playing field. As well as being the right thing to do, acknowledging and addressing bias, conscious or otherwise, has a critical role in furthering the diversity, equity and inclusion agenda so vital to building more sustainable, responsible and successful businesses.
We gather a panel of incredibly inspiring women who have succeeded in breaking the bias in their own community and workplace. These remarkable women will share their powerful and personal stories and thoughts on individual and collective actions to take to drive changes and break the bias.
This event series is of course open to all genders — anyone who supports the careers of women in business and tech is welcome to attend.
