About this event

Choosing a career as a freelancer: making the jump from a day job into freelancing can be hugely invigorating but can also be quite scary.

While you lose the boss and reports for their own sake, you gain the challenge of working independently and balancing your workload, often with a limited financial safety net.

If you’ve been daydreaming about taking the jump into full time freelancing or even flirting with the idea of picking up some additional freelance work on the side, you’d be silly not to come along and hear first hand from those who've successfully made the jump.

Our guest speakers will cover:

  • tips, tricks and tools for being a successful freelancer from experienced and successful freelancers
  • the challenges and how to overcome these
  • advice and encouragement for making the jump into freelancing

If you’re a developer, designer, SEM/SEO specialist, digital marketer, writer or journalist join us at General Assembly on Thursday 19th of October.

This event is presented by PwC’s Airtax - a simple online solution for freelancers and sole traders to manage their GST and income tax requires when it suits them for a great price.
