LAB 1.0 brings together entrepreneurs, investors and artists in a unique, innovative format.
We feature two speakers from different backgrounds (artist + entrepreneur & technologist) in conversation on a chosen theme. Half way through the event an envelope is presented to the speakers, revealing a mystery object they must re-imagine together.
From Food, Fashion, Travel, and Health/Fitness, we explore out of the box ideas and encourage creative license and poetic inspiration. Each theme represents an eco-system of technology and industry relationships that are shaping new and innovative ideas for LAB 1.0.
Our next LAB 1.0 will focus on "Hacking the Startup Lunch Economy: Re-imagining Food in Our Everyday Lives." Companies are providing free catered lunches to their employees as an incentive to come to work. How can employees make smart decisions about their lunch options, and how can companies provide fresh, wholesome meals to enable a healthier workforce? Jae Berman and Matt Rothe will discuss how food influences disease management, weight loss and living a healthy life. With the rise of organics and the huge increase in diseases such as diabetes and heart diseases, the opportunity to re-evaluate our relationship to food becomes critical. This includes our relationship to farms and their growing practices.
Join us for a lively innovation!
