About this event

Mention "mindfulness" and many think of a sit-down practice that requires carving out time in busy schedules. What many don't know is that the formal sitting practice has an informal twin that is friendlier to our hectic lifestyles.

In this session led by a Google coach and a Harvard-trained psychiatrist, learn why and how you can be mindful during daily activities such as eating, commuting or even working. Pick up practical exercises, as short as one breath, that you can apply instantly to your life. Being mindful does not mean throwing away our phones as we suggest some mobile applications to complement, not displace, our digital limb. The informal practice is not a perfect substitute but a companion to its formal twin. Nonetheless, you will build up an arsenal of tools to ease stress, calm a busy mind or have better focus.
