About this event

Technology and startup focused education institution General Assembly is partnering up with event-based social sharing platform Balcony Salon to present an exciting talk on August 16, 3-5pm.

Robots are usually perceived as steel mechanics that are lack of emotions, expressions and life-like characteristics. It used to be true, but have things changed? Our guest speaker Jong Lee, the CEO of Hanson Robotics, will challenge this stereotype by showing you how his robots can look, talk, and think like human beings.

Modeled after real human beings, some Robots not only look and sound like us, they can also think and behave like human beings. These Robots are not just cold machines; they have memories and personalities. Do not believe it? Come see it with your own eyes.

At the talk, Jong will provide live demonstration of his robot “Einstein”. Moreover, he will talk about how these Robots will help solve the issue associated with an aging population that we are facing in the next 5-10 years.
