GA + IBM Watson Workspace Hackathon | Online
About this event series
GA and IBM have teamed up for a national hackathon taking place at 3 GA campuses: Los Angeles, New York and Austin. Competitors will build an application for Watson Workspace, an IBM collaboration tool and platform that allows people to create shared spaces where they can post questions, share ideas, collaborate on projects, etc.
The top team in each city will win a trip to San Francisco including air fare and hotel, and the opportunity to present to the IBM Connect conference, February 2017. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded at the conference and invited to a special dinner with the Conference keynote and other top thought leaders in the industry.
Takeaways
- Teams can have a maximum of 4 people. Individuals can register separately and will be assigned to a team.
- Food and Drink will be provided during the Hackathon weekend.
- You will own your code and final work product from the hackathon with the option to make your application available to users on Watson Work Services Catalog.
- The hackathon takes place over the course of one weekend (Jan. 21-22)
- The winning team in each city will be sent to San Francisco (booked through IBM). Must have at least one representative present, in San Francisco on February 20th, to compete for the prize of dinner with the keynote speaker and other thought leaders in the space.
