About This Workshop

Time to get technical with your insights from user research and customer journey mapping. Don’t worry, though; there’s no coding in this workshop. All you need is a pen, paper, and a free Figma account.

This free, 2-hour workshop gives you hands-on practice with the first phases of prototyping: sketching and wireframing. From brainstorming and ideating, to sketching your ideas effectively, then learning the basics of navigating Figma to turn your sketches into digital wireframes, by the end of the session you’ll be communicating design ideas like a pro.

Make sure to join us for next week where you’ll Turn Wireframes to Prototypes in Figma so you can really start testing and iterating on your design. We’ll see you there.

Takeaways

You’ll leave this workshop knowing:

  • How to create quick, effective sketches that communicate your design choices to others
  • The difference between low-fidelity, mid-fidelity, and high-fidelity prototypes
  • What Figma is, why it’s important, and how to use it
  • How to build a wireframe based on sketches

Preparation

  • This is an entry level workshop, so no prior knowledge is necessary.
  • Make sure you have a free Figma account if you plan to follow-along live.
  • If anything prevents you from following-along live, the recording will be shared after the series so you can review the content anytime.
  • Your mic and camera will be off for the duration of the workshop.
  • Interact with your instructor and fellow classmates through the Chat and Q&A.
