This free, 2-hour workshop will teach you best practices for handling null values and cleaning your data, then we’ll dive into basic formulas and functions like Trim, Text, AVERAGE, and COUNT to take your data cleaning skills up a notch.

Make sure to join us for next week where we’ll cover Excel Analytics Basics. You’ll take your freshly cleaned dataset and start to analyze it using popular methods like Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP to find answers to your hypothesis. We’ll see you there.

You’ll leave this workshop knowing:

• Common data cleaning actions like reformatting dates, removing duplicates, and combining data sources
• How to use basic Excel functions and formulas like Trim, Text, AVERAGE, COUNT, and more to get your data ready for analysis

• This is an entry level workshop, so no prior knowledge is necessary.
• You’ll need an Excel account if you are planning to follow-along live. If you don’t have one already, you can sign-up for a Free 1-Month Trial of Microsoft 365
• If anything prevents you from following-along live, the recording will be shared after the series so you can review the content anytime.
• Your mic and camera will be off for the duration of the workshop.

Vaughn is a Brooklyn born, father of two, serial entrepreneur who is currently on a mission to organize the world's sports data. Before launching his sports data platform Ballstar, Vaughn served as associate director of Alumni affairs for Prep for Prep and later as an Alum Trustee. Using data to build community, make connections, and to better focus fundraising efforts Vaughn is most proud of the work he has done to nurture niche communities of Alums like those in the arts and tech communities. Now Vaughn uses data to bring together the global Basketball community.
