About This Workshop

With the full data analytics workflow under your belt, learn how to access databases with SQL and write basic SQL queries.

This free, 2-hour workshop gives you a foundation in databases, how they work, and when to use which SQL tool to access data. From there, you’ll get hands-on practice with basic SQL syntax, and cover more advanced features like joining, grouping, filtering, and functions.

You’ll leave this workshop with the confidence to continue exploring the world of data analytics, and a solid foundation to keep building on. If you still have questions about what a bootcamp or a career in data analytics looks like, make sure to join us next week for a live meet the team session where we’ll cover the basics and answer all of your data analytics questions.

You’ll leave this workshop knowing:

  • How to apply the basic syntax of SQL
  • More advanced features of SQL, such as joining, grouping, filtering, and functions

  • This is an entry level workshop, so no prior knowledge is necessary.
  • We’ll be working in PgAdmin, a web-based query tool. You’ll receive login instructions via email before the workshop.
  • If anything prevents you from following-along live, the recording will be shared after the series so you can review the content anytime.
  • Your mic and camera will be off for the duration of the workshop.
  • Interact with your instructor and fellow classmates through the Chat and Q&A.
