About this workshop

For E-commerce and businesses online today, content is key. In this interdisciplinary workshop, we will conduct an overview of existing content strategies, user experience, discovery, and metrics in current business models. We will define best practices and creatively collaborate on alternate content strategies, product features, merchandising and marketing tactics for an existing or fictional business.


  • Overview of the e-commerce landscape and current trends
  • Identifying emerging trends in the e-commerce space
  • Evaluating current content strategies of the e-commerce landscape
  • An understanding of basic e-commerce metrics and approaches to measure impact
  • Understanding the business model
  • Reviewing sourcing and inventory - dropship and fulfillment
  • Assessing effectiveness of marketing channels to acquire users and drive sales
  • Best practices for providing great user experience and customer service
  • An outline of a project for a specific content strategy or roadmap, UX feature, Product improvement or Assortment roadmap for an existing or fictional business in a team collaborative environment.

Prereqs & Preparation

  • Open to all levels.
  • Bring a laptop, writing materials and access to Google docs.
  • Come with ideas & inspiration! Have an idea for a E-commerce business, digital landscape or a product to focus on for development.
