About This Event

Accessibility and disability inclusion are both important in our world, but often they are left as single box checklist items, relegated to "legal requirements" instead of focusing on the people behind these needs. This talk will discuss how to shift your perspective on disability from one of something to check off, to something that becomes a part of your intentional workflow. A talk by a Deafblind consultant in the tech world, this will help to shift your lens

Takeaways

  • Re-define what disability means to you
  • Orient your perspective on accessibility to a positive instead of negative context.
  • Learn about the disabled user experience from a disabled technology consumer.
