As the web continues to mature and evolve, a wealth of low-cost (or free) digital tools, applications, and resources are now available to organizations and entrepreneurs to improve productivity, collaboration, marketing presence, cashflow, and analytics. This lecture will cover some of the most useful tools in each of these areas.
We’ll begin by covering basic tools for productivity and collaboration (Trello, Asana, RescueTime, Slack) and more specialized tools for project management (JIRA, Pathwright, Pipedrive). Then we’ll cover the process of rapid website/protype creation (Weebly, Squarespace, Bootply, Divshot), and services for validating + generating demand around those websites + prototypes (LaunchRock, MailChimp, Facebook, Adwords, AddThis). Next, we’ll discuss the easiest ways to drive dollars out of your offerings (Stripe, Freshbooks, Xero), and how to analyze + dashboard their performance (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Geckoboard, Splunk). And finally, we’ll cover how to interconnect multiple tools via codeless automation platforms (Zapier).
