Wish you had a better understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem? Perhaps you are on the verge of setting up your online business? This workshop will guide early stage and new online merchants on how to design & implement an ecommerce site using online tools like Wordpress & WooCommerce.

The session will cover:

• Why Wordpress & Woocommerce make a great team for selling online • Learn the basics of Wordpress and how to set up a standard website using Wordpress CMS • Brief overview of ecommerce best practices and standards • Installation of WooCommerce; learn to set up products and other options • Payment gateway integration

Additionally, the class will give students a detailed overview of the fundamental processes & best practices essential to successfully launching an online store.

Prereqs & Preparation

A laptop is required for this session. Please have a local or remote installation of Wordpress on your laptop. You can bring your own product images to work with or we will provide sample artwork for your use.
