About this class

Do you have data entered across multiple Excel files or Google Sheets? Or, do you have trouble locating a critical piece of data when you need it quickly? There’s a solution to help with these data challenges: databases!

Database systems underlie many pieces of our everyday life, like social networks, banking systems, and telecommunication systems, to name a few. Databases are used across industries to store information so that it can be quickly managed and updated to meet business needs.

Regardless of your role, knowledge of databases will allow you to better understand how data is structured and stored. By the end of this introductory workshop, you will be conversant in database systems, structures, and job functions, while being able to design a database structure that is relevant to business objectives.
