Customer discovery is the art of finding, observing, interviewing, and understanding the underlying needs of people. This is a critical skill for Product Managers and UX designers, especially with their increased role and responsibility in companies. Technology has made collection of quantitative data easier, but the qualitative is still hard.
In this class designed for Product Managers and UX Designers, we will take a look at different tactics for finding people to speak with and how to set up meetings (short). Then we'll go through cases of observational study (what can you pick up on that isn't being said). The bulk of this class will be on how to conduct a proper interview: how to prepare, what to ask, how to behave, what to listen for, and how to adapt for future interviews.
