About this workshop
Have you ever thought about making your own mobile app but were intimidated by the process? You don't need to use an IDE or learn a new language. You can use your existing web development skills to create mobile apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. In this class you will create your own mobile apps that you can run immediately on Android devices.

Prereqs & Preparation
- A laptop computer with a text editor (Sublime Text or Atom recommended) and browser (Chrome recommended)
- If you have access to one, an Android device to install apps on (a limited amount will be available for those who can't bring one)
- A barcode reading app on your device to read QR codes will make it easier to download apps (optional but recommended). Popular options are Barcode Scanner for Android and QR reader for iOS but any barcode app that can read a URL will work.
- Download the app starter files to your laptop beforehand (URL to come)
- No previous web development skills are required but the more you know about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the more you will be able to get out of the class
*While it is possible to run the apps on iOS and Windows Phone, doing so requires registration and configuration outside the scope of this class. A limited amount of Android devices will be available to use in class for anyone who doesn't have one.
