Covering the basic concepts of cloud computing and cloud providers, with a focus on and examples based on Amazon AWS, then delving into the details of cloud application building blocks.
The course will cover the main components of a web app deployed on the cloud: compute instances, types of storage, databases, load balancers, cache servers, security configuration, DNS and concepts about scaling and monitoring an app. The course will contain demos covering creating and configuring resources, and deploying code onto servers, via the web console, and via command line tools for AWS.
