    About this event

Chris is a web designer and developer. He built CSS-Tricks, a website all about building websites. Going strong for 10 years, it's a blog, forum, almanac, screencast, and more.

He is also the co-founder of CodePen, a social development environment for front-end web designers and developers. CodePen is a front-end focused IDE in the browser, allowing people to write HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other related languages. People share what they make, write about code, collect favorites, follow each other, find jobs, and more. It's as much of a community and social network as coding platform.

Along with Dave Rupert, Chris is the co-host of a podcast called ShopTalk, a show about (you guessed it), building websites. Modeled after CarTalk, the show features a question and answer format, with questions from the show's listeners. The show is approaching 300 episodes over 6 years and still chugging!

Chris has spoken at events and given workshops all over the world at conferences like An Event Apart, Smashing Conf, and Webstock. He has also written two books: Practical SVG and Digging Into WordPress.

Chris thinks the web is an incredible, inspiring, and empowering place and helping people know it better is good for everyone.

RSVP to join us on Wednesday, December 13th, as we hear from Chris about his work, experiences, passions, and advice.
