About this workshop

D3.js is a powerful open-source tool used to create data-driven documents (that's what D3 stands for!) and interactive data visualizations in modern web browsers. In this class, you’ll learn what is D3.js used for, including why it is important and best practices of utilization. You’ll then reinforce what you’ve learned with interactive activities that will guide you through the D3.js building blocks. You’ll walk away feeling confident in your newfound abilities to program using D3.js.

Takeaways

  • Create visual data elements using D3.js.
  • Place visual data elements using D3.js.
  • Get and use data from the server using D3.js.
