Augmented reality has taken the world by storm. Popularized by Snapchat's face filters, augmented reality has burst onto the scene. After the announcement of ARCore and ARKit by Google and Apple respectively, demand for augmented reality skills has sharply increased. Augmented Reality opens a whole new worlds of possibilities to increase engagement with users. You've seen examples of Augmented Reality in all facets of mobile technology including social media, games, utility applications, data visualization, and so much more. In class, you'll learn about the history of AR, and how it came to where it is today. We will take a look at examples of AR and how it is used across several industries. We'll discuss opportunities for AR in current apps that will elevate user experience. And finally, we'll build an AR demo of our own. Augmented reality is changing the way we view the world -- or at least the way its users see the world. Be one of the few people to have experience with this cutting-edge technology.
