Designed for real-world applications, this class will take you through how to build your own Marketing Plan for your business step-by-step. Creating a marketing plan gives you a clear understanding of your business marketing objectives, tactics and projects over a particular time frame and keeps them on track and effective. It's therefore an essential tool in growing your business and moving towards success.

In this workshop, we will go over the building blocks of a marketing plan, introducing the framework and essential content for a bespoke plan. We’ll look at the key aspects of marketing planning—whether digital or not—that investors and stakeholders want to see, and move on to creating our own marketing plans from scratch.

This workshop has been designed for B2C / SME businesses where marketing is the main driver of growth (as opposed to large-enterprise-businesses that are more sales-driven). Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to deliver your next phase of growth, a startup or small business marketing manager who wants to improve your existing plan, or a CEO looking to bring some rigour to a marketing approach, this workshop will get you on the right track.

Takeaways

In this workshop, you'll:

  • learn a framework for a bespoke marketing plan and how it applies to business
  • learn what the fundamental must-haves of a marketing strategy are
  • understand how a marketing plan can be used as an ongoing commercial tool
  • understand the theory and put it into practice in class
  • get a step-by-step guide for creating the plan yourself

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING COVID-19

In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation, we have put in place precautionary measures to keep our community safe. As we all make sense of the evolving situation, General Assembly is guided by two priorities: ensuring safety and health while minimising disruption to our learners.

We are delivering all programs in a remote learning environment and temporarily closing our campus facilities. This workshop will therefore be taking place live and online and instructions will be sent to those who sign up on how to prepare and log in for the session. Trust us this is just as fun and with the same learning outcomes as our remote format mirrors our in person format!

To learn more about our approach to online learning and best practices for remote classrooms, check out this video.

For more information of General Assembly’s response, check out our latest updates here. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please reach out to our Student Services team at sydney@generalassemb.ly.
