This class teaches the language Processing by creating animated and interactive visual montages. Throughout the class, each student will develop one or more of their own animated projects, refining and extending them as new techniques are introduced. In-class, we will show both how to embed these in websites and how to use them as artistic displays.
This class is perfect for absolute beginners to programming. It serves as a gentle introduction to basic programming and computer graphics. Processing is a popular language with the visual arts community. It can be easily used for a variety of projects, from interactive websites to artistic visual displays.
