In the professional world of entertainment marketing and advertising retouching of "talent" (actors) is a major part of the production process. Whether creating a one-sheet (movie poster), a billboard, or a magazine ad the digital artist must take ordinary photos of people shot in different places, under different conditions, put them together in a new environment and make them look great, natural and as if they"belong". The artist will often have to add drama, emotion (through use of light and color), and direct the viewer's attention. The artist must often mix and match body parts, remove age, blemishes, weight, other people's body parts, or create missing elements. It is truly an art, as much illustration as simple retouching. In this project we will emphasized non-destructive image manipulation. Will stay away from quick and easy fixes that are often destructive (permanent changes).
