Bring your creative ideas to life with Adobe Illustrator, the industry-standard vector graphics software, used by designers and illustrators who want to create digital graphics, logos, illustrations, and original typography. This workshop is designed to get you up and running with Adobe Illustrator in just one day. The focus will be on step-by-step instruction leading students through the most important tools and concepts in Illustrator.
The best place to park is in the structure off of Colorado and 2nd St. The first 90 minutes are free (269 Colorado Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90401).
The end of the Expo Line is the Downtown Santa Monica station, which is a 5-minute walk to campus.
The 733 bus also ends in Santa Monica directly in front of our building.
Step by step Instructions
- Creating new files, and design terms
- Placing files from Adobe Photoshop and working with the Links Panel
- Shapes and Transformation
-Uploading Fonts and using the Type Tool
-Design an original vector logo or icon using Illustrator
This is an introductory course designed for first time and beginning Illustrator users. No prior experience with Illustrator is required for this class. All students must be able to bring a laptop to each class. You will need to have Adobe Illustrator CC already downloaded on this laptop for the start of class. The full version of Adobe Illustrator CC or the free 7-day trial version of it can be found at http://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator.
Mouse or Wacom Tablet are recommended.
Knowledge of computer is preferred.
