    Despite having been increasingly celebrated and championed in recent years, self-care, or the practice of putting yourself first, can often seem like an elusive concept to actualise in our own lives – especially when we’re constantly surrounded by endless stresses and distractions.

    With trying to juggle work, kids, home life, errands, and more, the thought of putting ourselves first, for even just a few minutes, can seem impractical or almost childish. To most, it feels more like a chore than a necessity. But what most don’t realize is that making sure our own needs are met is as important as taking care of those we love most. You can’t love someone else until you learn to love yourself.

    When turning your attention toward yourself feels challenging, there are simple ways to move through the discomfort. In this session, we’ll discuss some of the different types of self-care, why they are so essential to different aspects of your health, and what you can do to develop a self-care plan of your own.
