CAREER TAROTSCOPES FOR NOVEMBER 2023

Rebecca Szymczak, aka Cardsy B, author of The Saturn Diaries and tarot reader to the stars, consulted her cards and has tips for which signs are going to work with the transformative energy of Scorpio season to make significant changes and which should watch out the sting of the scorpion’s tale with co-workers. She also has insight regarding recognition from higher-ups that can indicate well-deserved pay increases and new positions as we approach the 1111 Portal mid-month.

November comes in with a greater sense of optimism. This shift is partly due to the holidays arriving around the corner and partly due to increased energy from the new moon in Scorpio on November 13. This new moon serves as a portal to embrace and welcome the big changes we’ve been craving in our careers since 2023 began. Look out for increased clarity and communication between the new moon on the 13 and the 1111 Portal on November 11, bringing in exciting opportunities for many of us. As we move toward the Jupiter-ruled season of Sagittarius beginning on 11/22, good news of financial increase will likely arrive. Getting clear on goals and what motivates and fulfills us is essential, as the full moon in Gemini may bring up time-sensitive decisions.

Sign: Aries/ Aries Rising (March 21 to April 19)

Card: 9 of Pentacles

The 9 of Pentacles reminds us to enjoy what we have created. Aries can tend to prefer to be in “go mode” all the time. It’s okay to stop and smell the roses from the garden of success you planted and tended to throughout 2023.

Highlight: The Evidence is Clear

The success of projects and presentations completed by Nov 11 will serve as powerful talking points to take into upcoming annual reviews and upcoming negotiations.

Heads Up: Attitude of Gratitude

Don’t hold back from asking for what you deserve this month. As you receive the rewards of your recent efforts, remember to thank yourself and those who helped these successes arrive.

Taurus/ Taurus Rising (April 20 to May 20)

Card: The Fool

If the beginning of fall required some extra surrender, your patience is now paying off, dear Taurus, as The Fool brings in a brand new opportunity that was undeniably worth waiting for.

Highlight: Doors Opening

In addition to something that may have been in the works or a role you already had your eye on, an additional opportunity appears seemingly out of thin air by the end of the month leading up to the full moon in Gemini on November 27.

Heads Up: Time Crunch

You may have less time than you would like to make a big career decision, so trust your intuition and don’t overthink it.

Mantra: Brand New Day – Sting 

Gemini/ Gemini Rising (May 21 to June 20)

Card: King of Wands

Your planetary ruler of Mercury means that Geminis love to talk things out and verbally plan before taking action. These communication skills make for robust analysis, but Scorpio season’s fast-paced tides of change encourage you to take some risks.

Highlight: Fast Results

King of Wands reminds Geminis that now is the time to shoot for the stars because if you do, big rewards will arrive by mid-month. Pay special attention to any important meetings on or around 11.11.

Heads Up: Take Risks, but Use Your Words Wisely

Scorpio season may cause you to act and make decisions faster than you usually would. Moving quickly this month is okay, but remember to choose your words – especially in emails and written communication – wisely. By month’s end, we’ll already be in the shadow of Mercury’s upcoming retrograde.

Cancer/ Cancer Rising (June 21 to July 22)

Card: 3 of Cups

Cancers are powerful leaders as they have a tough outer shell like their crab archetype but have a deeply intuitive and sensitive core. This side of you is celebrated with a shift in your team, allowing your mentor side to shine this month.

Highlight: Well-Deserved Recognition

You may have recently experienced some anxiety about departmental reorgs or client changes. In that case, you will see shortly after the new moon in Scorpio on the 13th that your gifts as a leader are clearly recognized and will be rewarded accordingly.

Heads Up: Take Your Flowers/ Allow Yourself to Receive

It may be tempting to bury your head back in new tasks. It’s essential, however, to enjoy the moment and receive this month’s good news fully.

Leo/ Leo Rising (July 23 to August 22)

Card: 7 of Pentacles 

The 7 of Pentacles reminds us that our work behind the scenes has not gone unnoticed. Even if the past few months felt unclear, the seeds planted throughout the earlier parts of the year have bloomed into an impressive harvest by the end of November.

Highlight: Green Light Special

Leo’s elemental ruler of fire makes them the ultimate “Let’s Freakin’ Go” sign in their professional and personal lives. The extra patience required with recent work transitions the past few weeks is paying off big time in the vein of multiple opportunities offered to you this Scorpio season.

In The Tarot, The Hermit Card is astrologically ruled by Virgo for many reasons, not the least of which is that hard-working Virgos tend to take on a lot solo. This month provides an opportunity to come out of the hermit’s lair and receive some much-needed support.

Highlight: Your Word Is Your Wand

If you’ve been saying you need some help or want this period of overwhelm to end, your wish will be granted this month as new collaborators or potential new employers appear after the moon in Scorpio on Nov 13.

Heads Up: Be Kind to Yourself

Virgo’s are one of the hardest working signs but also the most self-critical. Rewards are coming this month, but you’ll receive them faster when you can acknowledge your strengths more than your weaknesses and realize how amazing you truly are.

Libra/ Libra Rising (September 23 to October 22)

2 of Wands indicates a crossroads that may require a hard decision. This choice could be between the security of your current employer and an exciting outside opportunity or having to choose between two clients when you only have the capacity to support one.

Having multiple options is always better than none. However, it’s essential to identify your motives and choose from a place of inspiration and excitement versus pleasing a potential employer, client, or even an outdated, past version of yourself.

Scorpio/ Scorpio Rising (October 23 to November 21)

Card: 8 of Cups

Happy Birthday, Scorpio! Though the archetype of the scorpion reminds us of our ability to molt out of old constrictive shells, it doesn’t mean it’s an easy process. The 8 of cups brings an emancipating choice this month, but one that has been a long time coming.

Highlight: Freedom Awaits

The 8 of Cups reminds you of your ability to prioritize yourself and your freedom this month. This strength may come in the way of requesting a more flexible schedule, asking for your department’s support, or even walking away from an old role into something completely new.

Heads Up: Trust Your First Instinct

Trust your inner guidance system this month. Your initial instinct will likely steer toward the empowering but riskier choice, but well-meaning friends and old fears may try to lead you back to perceived safety. Lead with your intuition.

Sagittarius/ Sagittarius Rising (November 22 to December 23)

Remember when work was fun? Chances are you do because Sagittarians are the most optimistic and adventurous sign. But if you haven’t been having a great time at work this year, remember to focus on the parts of your career that bring you joy, and more projects and clients relating to those aspects will arrive.

Highlight: What, Like it’s Hard?

The Page of Pentacles card in the Tarot is similar to Elle Woods in Legally Blond, making even law school look easy and fun. What are the parts of your work that used to light you up? Are you still allowing yourself to dive into those? If not, find a way to bring more fun in this Scorpio season, as the moon on the third offers a portal of change and rebirth.

Heads Up: Release the Stories of Mutual Exclusion

If you’ve been struggling with the duality of believing you can have fun but will be less abundant or grind away for more financial security, find examples of expanders who love what they do in the day-to-day and are super successful. Because if you can picture it, you can create it.

Capricorn/ Capricorn Rising (December 22 to January 19)
