Rebecca Szymczak, aka Cardsy B, author of The Saturn Diaries and tarot reader to the stars, consulted her cards and has tips for which signs should dream big in the spirit of Gemini season and which should hang tight a little longer before making big decisions. She also has guidance regarding important financial shifts that will become clearer as we move toward the summer solstice at the end of the month.
June begins with the strawberry moon on the 4th of the month, bringing some much-needed optimism thanks to the full moon’s placement in Sagittarius. Most of us are already feeling lighter as we’ve excited Mercury retrograde and are starting to settle down from the emotional upheaval caused by the eclipses in April and May. When we approach the new moon in Gemini on June 18th, doors will open at a refreshing new pace, just in time to welcome the lightest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere) and celebration of summer with the solstice on June 21st.
Whatever your sign, there are plenty of big wins — plus some key decisions — to look for this month, so read on to see what the cards have in store.
Sign: Aries/ Aries Rising (March 21 to April 19)
Card: Ace of Wands
Aries are the first sign and initiator of the zodiac, thus known for their ambition and determination. If May left you feeling a little less than your enthusiastic self, you’ll appreciate this Ace of Wands opportunity coming your way in June. This could be a new job offer or a big opportunity to impress a client that will bring substantial abundance your way this summer.
Highlight: Back on Top
You may have been extra self-critical last month due to feeling like things were moving at a glacial pace on the career front. A door opening this month brings a spark of inspiration and also more clarity in how you view yourself and your work.
Heads Up: Pace Yourself
Though the excitement in this new direction will be palpable, make sure not to overexert yourself. Don’t worry; this opportunity isn’t going anywhere. Take your time and enjoy the process.
Mantra: Get the party started. – Pink
Taurus/ Taurus Rising (April 20 to May 20)
Card: The Moon
You may have felt a little conflicted about your birthday this year. It feels like there was a lot of growth and expansion throughout the year, but last month’s eclipse may have overshadowed some of that gratitude and celebration. The Moon card comes in this month to shine some light on the work and personal wins you’ve recently achieved.
Highlight: What You Focus on Expands
If you found yourself caught up in comparing to others recently, this month’s full moon in Sagittarius on June 3rd provides a big realization of what a rock star you’ve been at work. Additional validation and recognition from your team will arrive shortly after that.
Heads Up: The Spiral Effect
Remember that progress is a spiral, not a straight line. Some small challenges that arise mid-month prove to be advantageous opportunities to connect with higher-ups and gain additional respect.
Mantra: I attract success, success I achieve. – Moonlight Scorpio
Gemini/ Gemini Rising (May 21 to June 20)
Card: Knight of Cups
Happy Birthday, Gemini! The Knight of Cups is coming in timed perfectly with your solar return to bring messages of appreciation and gratitude for recent projects, and client wins.
Highlight: Worth It
If you feel like you’ve been putting in extra hours and going above and beyond with little recognition of your efforts, this month’s feedback makes it all worthwhile. A raise and/or promotion may even be in the works.
Heads Up: Watch Your Workaholic Tendencies
This month’s good news may also negatively reinforce unhealthy workaholism or martyr mentality. It’s essential to balance giving your best effort but not depleting yourself. Remember, the journey is equally, if not more important, than the destination.
Mantra: Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side. It’s the climb. – Miley Cyrus
Cancer/ Cancer Rising (June 21 to July 22)
Card: The Chariot
The Chariot is ruled by Cancer in the Tarot, meaning you are in your element this month! This is the only Tarot card that emphasizes the vehicle over the driver, indicating that a catalyst for evolution arrives to move you forward in your career.
Highlight: Wishes Granted
By the new moon in Gemini on the 18th, just before Cancer season begins, something you have been longing for finally arrives. This could be a level-up in your current work or news of an outside opportunity from a recruiter or an unexpected source.
Heads Up: Embrace the Change
Cancer’s sensitive nature and guarded crab shells can make them more averse to change than other signs. If a departmental re-org or shifts with a long-term client start to induce anxiety, know that this is probably the exact catalyst for a victory being delivered to you by the Chariot.
Mantra: A change will do you good. – Sheryl Crow
Leo/ Leo Rising (July 23 to August 22)
Leos have an infectious charisma that draws people in and excites them about their ideas. This magnetism is in full effect in June, but Justice reminds you to be discerning with whom you share your plans this month.
Highlight: Opportunities Await
You may feel more optimistic about an ongoing project or initiative as you receive signs that good news is coming by mid-month.
Heads Up: Discernment is Key
June is bringing expansion your way. However, colleagues may still be in post-eclipse anxiety and scarcity, so it is essential to lay low until final decisions are made.
Mantra: Trust Your Timing – Fearless Soul
Virgo/ Virgo Rising (August 23 to September 22)
Card: The Empress
Virgos love serving others, making them high achievers and amazing friends. The Empress reminds you that it’s equally important to prioritize yourself and your needs this month so as not to burn out.
Highlight: Ask and It Is Given
The acknowledgement and opportunities you’ve been working toward are on the way in, suggesting that your hard work is paying off this summer.
Heads Up: Mindful of Perfectionism
June brings you and your recent projects a high level of recognition, but this can also feel like increased pressure and trigger perfectionistic tendencies. Be mindful about taking breaks and downtime to reset and recalibrate when needed.
Mantra: All Eyes on Me. – Britney Spears
Libra/ Libra Rising (September 23 to October 22)
Card: 4 of Swords
According to the Tarot, 4 of Swords is ruled by Jupiter in Libra. This indicates that there is more of an equilibrium this month on the career front that allows significant expansion to occur.
Highlight: Steady Pace
Whether it’s because higher-ups are on vacation this month or you’re taking some personal time off yourself, there is a greater balance provided than the past two months, which may have felt quite chaotic work-wise.
Heads Up: Filter Out Outside Noise
If you’re on the fence about taking some vacation time or restructuring a project to allow you a healthier workflow, don’t second guess yourself. You know what you need this month, and listening to your inner guidance system will pay off personally and professionally.
Mantra: Trust Yourself – Bob Dylan
Scorpio/ Scorpio Rising (October 23 to November 21)
Card: Two of Wands
Two of Wands brings an important choice this month. The option that feels a bit riskier is likely the one you feel more inclined to explore.
Highlight: The Ball’s In Your Court
This crossroads could come in the way of an exciting outside job offer versus staying in your current role or the option to exit a mediocre contract to pursue an exciting new client. Either way, the call is yours.
Heads Up: Analysis Paralysis
Though it’s empowering to have options, it can also cause over-analysis. Try to resist the temptation to poll all your friends and family members and go with your intuition. Hint: the scarier option is worth the risk.
Mantra: Should I Stay or Should I Go? – The Clash
Sagittarius/ Sagittarius Rising (November 22 to December 23)
Card: Ace of Pentacles
Sagittarians are notoriously impatient, and the Mercury retrograde and the lunar eclipse last month likely tested your fortitude in extremely uncomfortable ways. The full moon in Sagittarius on June 4th will prove that it was worth the wait. This “Strawberry Moon” brings an exciting opportunity regarding a new stream of financial abundance.
Highlight: Ongoing Abundance
The Ace of Pentacles turns on like a faucet, so this isn’t a one-drop payment but more likely an ongoing source of abundance starting at month’s end.
Heads Up: Celebrate the Small Victories
Smaller, seemingly insignificant wins (like a boss’s or colleague’s verbal accolades) arrive before the financial news. The more gratitude you have for these moments, the more receptive state you’ll be for more to come.
Mantra: Grateful. – Rita Ora
Capricorn/ Capricorn Rising (December 22 to January 19)
Card: The Five of Cups
Capricorns are known as the hardest working sign in the zodiac, and you may feel that is more accurate than ever after moving through the spring of 2023. The Five of Cups brings a powerful change of perspective this month that will set the tone for the rest of the year.
Highlight: New Priorities
While work is still a key area of passion and focus, relationships in and outside the workplace require some TLC. The time and energy spent on evolving these connections also fuel career expansion and success.
Heads Up: Don’t Take It Personal
Part of the re-prioritization of Five of Cups is sometimes managing challenging personalities at work, don’t take harsh emails or passive-aggressive comments to heart. Navigating these situations calmly pays off in the not-so-distant future.
Mantra: I’ve learned the lesson that stressin’ and obsessin’ ‘bout somebody else is no fun . – Taylor Swift
Aquarius/ Aquarius Rising (January 20 to February 18)
Card: 10 of Swords
Multiple signs may have come your way recently about releasing old limitations and/or self-sabotaging beliefs. June is the time to clear this for good.
Highlight: Out of The Woods
If the first half of 2023 felt like an annoying song being played on repeat, don’t lose hope. The second half of the year, starting around the summer solstice on June 21st, brings the beginning of a major period of change.
Heads Up: Change is Undeniable
If you have been procrastinating about making a hard choice, June may bring a decision in a way that is seemingly out of your hands. Even so, it comes as a relief. This could be a shift into a new role or a client exiting that clears space for a more aligned partnership to enter.
Mantra: A New Day Has Come.– Celine Dion
Pisces/ Pisces Rising (February 19 to March 20)
Card: The Hermit
Pisces is the sign of deep intuition and heightened sensitivity, and these gifts can often draw others to you for insight and guidance. You can continue to offer support this month, but it is important to limit your time where necessary.
Highlight: Month of Progress
If you’re able to carve out some consistent time to work on your own in June, you will likely find you make more headway in a few weeks than you’ve been able to in months.
Heads Up: Consistency is Key
Because your team members are probably used to coming to you for support (workwise and personally), kind and consistent boundaries about your schedule this month are crucial. You can still make yourself available for critical issues but block meaningful windows of time for your own progress.
Mantra: Time to Go Within. – Ivy Levan
