Denver
Zoe discovered her love of coding in college where she studied computer science, statistics, and educational studies. She then began her career as a full-stack software engineer in New York City. She worked at two different startups: an advertising technology company acquired by AT&T and a high-growth real estate startup.
While working as an engineer, Zoe was always seeking out opportunities to teach! This led her to volunteer with 10 different organizations including Girls Who Code, Break Through Tech, Code.org, Coder Dojo, and Code for Cape Town. Eventually, the pull to teaching became too strong and she now works full time as an instructor with GA.
Zoe brings to class stories and wisdom from her time as a software engineer. She also strives to empower her students with the right amount of support so they can come to their own conclusions and light bulb moments. Zoe is passionate about providing opportunities for folks to make the transition to high fulfillment technology careers, especially those from groups currently underrepresented in tech.
When not coding or teaching, Zoe can be found biking, playing pickleball, or trying out a new craft!
