Zeke Swepson

Founder, CodeWalker Institute

San Francisco

Zeke Swepson is the founder of CodeWalker Institute. CodeWalker mentors software engineers from non-traditional backgrounds and hires them to work on paid projects. CodeWalker alums have gone off to work at companies like Microsoft, Mozilla, and Google. Zeke studied computer science at Brown University. After almost a decade working at companies like Marin Software and Webroot as the only black software engineer, he decided he couldn't sit by and wait for change to happen on its own. Thus CodeWalker was founded. His son, who is six, is also a major inspiration for his work.
