Yuan Shi is a Data Scientist for AI/ML at Amazon Web Service (AWS), focusing on industry Solution in Public Sector in Asia Pacific & Japan. Yuan got her PhD from Singapore-MIT Alliance and has over 10 years of experience in the field of data science. She is passionate about understanding and extracting data from it. Yuan has been actively involved in various projects by integrating algorithms, statistics and machine learning, and SQL .
Yuan got her PhD under the program of Singapore-MIT Alliance, where she integrated mechanistical modelling, statistics and Bayesian analysis to decode the molecular pathway of synthetic drug in cancer cells. After graduation, she led a few key research projects for Singapore government as well as research institutes. Over the years, Yuan has over 30 publication in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and 1 granted patent by European Patent Office in patient risk assessment.
