William Mansfield, Esq., "protects the passions" of innovators as an Attorney and as a Patent Attorney. He advises and counsels on legal issues faced by entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, creatives, startups, and emerging companies on national and international levels, with a focus on intellectual property (IP) protection. William's passion for IP began at an early age while helping his father with inventions and patents begun during research and teaching positions at Harvard University and Oxford University. Since 2004, he has counseled and worked on legal matters in many innovative fields.

William is registered to practice patent law throughout the United States and to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. William received The CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Intellectual Property. He holds a J.D. from Western New England University School of Law, a B.A. from Trinity College, and completed classes at The Franklin Pierce Law Center and Harvard University. Patent Attorney William Mansfield stays current with case law and IP matters through the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Boston Patent Law Association, International Trademark Association, American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and Boston Bar Association. William serves on the Board and The Executive Committee of The IEEE's Boston Entrepreneurs' Network and serves as an advisor for startups and related entrepreneurial ventures.
