Will Daugherty joined Pacific Science Center as President and CEO in late 2015 with more than 20 years of leadership experience. Prior to Pacific Science Center, Will served as Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Washington, where he worked with faculty, researchers, administrators, and students across the university to identify technologies with commercial promise and to launch new businesses. Will previously held executive roles with P&L responsibility at companies including Amazon, Expedia, and AT&T Wireless. He began his business career with management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, working for 10 years in Asia, Europe, and North America and becoming a partner and leader in the firm’s high-tech practice.

Will has a longstanding passion for education, science, technology, the natural world, and serving the community. He serves on the boards of directors of BECU and KEXP. His prior board service includes the Special Olympics USA Games, the Olympic Park Institute, and the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose.

Will earned a BA in Politics from Princeton University, where he also served as a Research Assistant in the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies, and a MA in Political Science from Columbia University, where he taught graduate and undergraduate courses in international relations, military strategy, and political economy.
