    Wesley Loh

Co-Founder, WACS (an autism chat network)

    Singapore

Wesley was diagnosed with Autism / Asperger’s Syndrome at age 18. Coming into contact with the Singapore autism community in 2017, Wesley has been an active autistic autism advocate since then, from running a network of WhatsApp Autism Community Singapore (WACS: http://w.iautistic.com) chat groups, to rallying autistic adults together for a common cause, to volunteering at, or co-leading, autism events.

Wesley was a keynote speaker at the "Life After Death" Forum 2019, the first ever autistic-led forum in Singapore. He also participated in the Asia Pacific Autism Conference 2019, an international autism conference hosted in Singapore for the first time which was a very significant milestone for the Singapore autism community.

Wesley finds opportunities for his autism community, such as through focused-group discussions facilitated by autism organisations in Singapore and/or the relevant Government ministries, and community ground-up initiatives.

His most recent advocacy is advocating for equal access to insurance coverage and fair treatment by insurers, a matter that speaks to the hearts of many in the autism community – Refer to this link (http://chng.it/88xqjKrRB4) and the links appended therein to the newspaper forum articles, for more information.
