Virginia Mudge is a passionate non-profit arts professional with over 16 years of experience in arts administration. In her variety of roles at The Dallas Opera, she had the tremendous privilege of working with cultural and community leaders, businesses large and small, and fellow nonprofits in their efforts to improve the quality of life in the DFW Metroplex. From administrative and executive support roles to donor communications, community partnerships, and fundraising, Virginia has had a formative and enriching experience in non-profit arts. As the Director of Development and Community Engagement for EarthX, an international environmental nonprofit dedicated to educating and inspiring action for a sustainable future, Virginia has extensive experience keeping sponsorships engaged and intentional.
Virginia is a dedicated member of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Young Professionals group. Now in her second year on the Advisory Council, she continues to relish her role as co-chair of the Chamber’s signature leadership development program for young professionals: Lead YP. Virginia is also a proud member of the Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy cohort through the Communities Foundation of Texas.
Virginia was born in Las Vegas, raised in Germany and England (military brat), and graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Composition & Language. She lives in downtown Dallas and—in her free time—enjoys playing foosball, knitting, doing crosswords with her boyfriend, and rocking out to thrash metal.
