Tory is a UX Designer and Design Instructor. After graduating from the University of Ottawa, she transitioned her career from international politics to the tech industry, where the pace and creative spirit matched her own. She’s worked at both powerhouses, LivingSocial and Atlantic Media, advocating for consumers and managing logistics. In a quest to dig deeper, Tory enrolled in a full-time User Experience Design Immersive course at General Assembly. Upon graduation, she was hired as a Teaching Assistant at GA and has moved up the ranks to become an instructor. She continues to mentor her students and teach the design thinking process using UX concepts. Tory is a UX Designer at Perceptronics Solutions by day, managing design and strategy for products that employ machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
Along with attempting to revive her French and Italian language skills, she enjoys rock climbing, yoga, and sailing in her free time.
