Vanessa embarked on her role as the Property and Business Development Director in 2015, and Executive Director in 2017. Her work includes exploring and developing new business opportunities and strategies for the group.

Vanessa is the Founder of The Mills – a revitalization project of the Nan Fung Textile Mills into a global innovation techstyle institution, incubator and retail destination. She worked for AECOM as a Landscape Designer and a part-time lecturer at the HKU for City Branding. She hopes to inspire the younger generation and push Hong Kong’s leadership potential beyond the status quo.

She is a convener of NarrativeHK, an initiative promoting positive attitude and confidence among her generation in envisioning the future of HK. She co-founded Quo Kefir Believers, a natural probiotic health food company. Her passion projects continues, in mid-2016, she pursues yet another venture in the fitness industry, as a co-owner and Director of Wellness Development of Reebok CrossFit Asphodel, the first CrossFit gym in Hong Kong. This year, she started a non-profit with her husband, called The Keep Moving Project, because they believe that "health should not be a luxury, it’s a basic human right".

Vanessa obtained her Master’s in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard University and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor in Molecular and Cell Biology.

When she gets a free second from work, Vanessa loves to CrossFit, swim and run, travel, name trees along her walks, daydream of possibilities in her city, make connections with people and the community, and above all, imagines what could be.
