Vamsi has been an Investment Banker for almost 2 decades with a wealth of experience and business relationships in financial markets all over Asia. This breadth and depth of experience have endowed him with an intimate knowledge of the strengths and short-comings of the financial services sector and of large organisations in general. Today, Vamsi is a passionate believer in the crying need for innovation in the financial sector in Asia and nurses an ardent desire to play a part in this exciting arena. He has spent a large portion of his recent work-life in Trade Finance and is particularly interested in applications of distributed ledger technology in this area. Of special personal interest to him is the application of technology to foster financial inclusion - areas include refugee / worker remittances; inclusion oriented payment solutions. Vamsi lives in Hong Kong with his wife, an Information Technology professional, and with two super-charged packets of energy (aged 5 and 3). His activities outside his office are varied and are shaped by the whims of these boys – the latest pursuit involves fiddling with an astronomical telescope in an effort to make them understand the world they inhabit!
