Valerie Woolard is a senior lead software engineer at CommonLit, building tools to help teachers and students. She has a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Chicago. She leads the Women Who Code DC algorithms meetup and is always looking for fun and creative approaches to programming and data. In addition to programming, she will gladly speak at length about running, American musical theatre, vegan cooking, and podcast recommendations.
