Valerie is the Head of International Risk Analytics at Gojek. In her role, she manages a regional team of data analysts on complex fraud & risk projects in 4 countries, dedicated to keeping Gojek drivers and customers safe.
Over the last 7 years, Valerie has worked across a broad range of analytics and research roles at Google, MindShare, Singapore Civil Defence Force, and National University of Singapore. These areas include research on illegal device modifications, graph density analysis, predictive modelling and experiment design. Last year, Valerie was recognized for her contributions to tech with the 'Young Leader of the Year 2020' award by the global non-profit Women In IT group.
Valerie is passionate about mentorship, and has been volunteering on the Advisory Youth Mentorship program for the last three years. This year, she founded a Lean In community for Women in Data, which seeks to empower young women to advance in their analytics careers.
