Valerie Agyeman is a Women’s Health Dietitian and Founder of Flourish Heights, a nutrition communications practice empowering women in wellness. She helps them understand the powerful relationship between what they eat and how their body looks, feels, and functions so they can make wiser, conscious choices, and establish a healthy relationship with food and their body.

Through her platform, Valerie has organized workshops and events that have brought hundreds of women together locally and internationally to inspire change, educate, and build stronger, healthier communities. Most recently, Valerie was a Communications Manager at the Seafood Nutrition Partnership where she assisted with public outreach and health and nutrition education efforts.

Her past experience includes corporate wellness and improving the health of the adult and elderly population as a clinical dietitian. Valerie received the Food Minds UpwaRD award for demonstrating innovation, dedication, and excellence in communication within the field of nutrition, and has served as a DC Metro Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Executive Board Member and a Fruit and Vegetable Ambassador in Action with the Produce for Better Health Foundation. She is a trusted expert in food and nutrition and has appeared on various publications such as Women’s Health Magazine and Cosmopolitan and local media networks including ABC’s Good Morning Washington Show and CBS’s Virginia This Morning Show.

She completed her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics and her dietetic internship at the University of Maryland, College Park with an emphasis on Information Technology and Nutrition Communications.
