Udie Chima

Udie was born and raised in Seattle but now lives on Whidbey Island with his son and wife. He is happy to work at Zillow while also being fully remote. His curiosity to understand what motivates people, an interest in technology, and an attraction to entrepreneurship pushed him too resettle in the Bay after graduating from Oberlin College. Years later, in a chance encounter he learned about UX while volunteering as a usability tester. This opportunity started his informal design education and propelled him to apply to GA's immersive program in the winter of 2015. He helped launch California's first recreational cannabis POS system and contributed to a warehouse management platform used by the biggest ecommerce companies in the world. He tries to get a little better every day and works to boost the number of underrepresented BIPOC individuals in design.
