Tia J. White joined Capital One Financial in 2015. She currently works in

the Risk and Finance Technology (RaFT) organization leading the

Operational Excellence team. In this role she is responsible for overseeing the Risk, Chief of Staff, Production Support and Database Engineering teams to ensure the organization delivers innovative, but low-risk well managed products.

Prior to joining Capital One, Tia started her career with Wells Fargo in 2005 as a member of an esteemed Technology Leadership Development Program. In her 10+ year career at Wells Fargo she held several critical roles in Technology and Operations. In addition, she also held various

leadership positions to champion and execute the company’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy.

Tia lives by the motto, "To whom much is given, much is expected." For that reason, Tia has a strong passion for raising awareness and finding a cure for breast cancer. She serves in various leadership capacities for Susan G. Komen including serving as the Operations Leader for Charlotte Race for the Cure for the past 4 years. Being a women of color in the technology industry she recognizes the importance of mentorship and education. She has developed and led several STEM programs for at-risk and middle and high school grade girls. Most recently she co-led Capital One’s Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program as the Networking, Mentoring and Culture lead for the McLean Women in Tech (WIT) Chapter.
