Tamara Clelford

Dr Tamara Sheret is the founder of Swamphen Enterprises. Tamara consults to a range of companies in data science and radio frequency engineering. She also teaches data science and coding, and can be heard frequently speaking about her work. A physicist by training, she has always wrangled large data sets. Having worked for industries as diverse as defence, education and insurance, with jobs both in large companies and small start ups, the data she has worked with is very varied! Along the way she has coded in many languages, settling most recently in Python and Matlab as the two favourites.

As a data scientist Tamara specialises in the first look at data. This is typically data no one has use before and she uses current techniques in data science to reveal its secrets. She has a lot of experience working with time series data and the complexities this type of data brings. This work is supported by a sound understanding and execution of Python.

Tamara holds a MPhys in physics and astronomy from the University of Sheffield and a PhD in antenna design and analysis from Queen Mary University London. She is a qualified teacher holding both a PGCE from the University of Cambridge and Qualified Teacher Status.
