Designer-in-Residence, General Assembly

New York City

Talisa Chang is a freelance user experience designer and researcher with over five years of product and storytelling experience at scaling startups and civic endeavors. In the past she has been the voice of Foursquare, made financial planning delightful, fought for health care transparency, built communities around public art projects, and interviewed Isabella Rossellini about whale sex. As the co-founder of Her Girl Friday, Talisa regularly curates and produces events featuring female journalists and nonfiction storytellers.

Talisa received her B.A. in The Politics of Language at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She also completed General Assembly’s User Experience Design Immersive in February 2015. Things she loves about UX: feeding her curiosity, finding the narrative amidst complexity, and advocating for the people who aren’t in the room.
