    Taihua is a data scientist with expertise in utilizing statistical and machine learning techniques to build user-centered artificial intelligent applications. Currently, Taihua works at CCC Information Services as a data scientist conducting research in bettering auto insurance claim process by injecting AI into the claim processing workflow; his research consists of computer vision and data mining. Prior to CCC, he served as a medical informatics researcher at Yale Center for Medical Informatics, where he worked on cognitive applications using electronic health records to assist clinical psychologists in determining suicidal patients and to assist cardiologists in identifying patients with certain cardiovascular diseases. Taihua obtained his M.S. in Predictive Analytics from DePaul University, during which he served as a graduate researcher at DePaul’s Technology for Social Good lab. Aside from being a full-time data scientist, Taihua is a part-time Netflix addict and he also enjoys exploring every bit of different Chicago neighborhoods.
