Sylvia Tran is a Data Scientist at Gracenote working on media & entertainment metadata. Previously, she was a Data Scientist at OpenDrives and was a TA and graduate of General Assembly’s Data Science Immersive program. Prior to her time at GA, she was a Director and VP at Wells Fargo Capital Finance LLC and has 10 years of experience in business & risk analysis, financial forecasting, and mergers & acquisitions. She holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UCLA and complete her M.Sc. in Engineering (Computational Data) at Georgia Tech in 2022.
When she’s not organizing for PyLadies LA, or organizing a data conference in LA, she’s hiking with her pit bull, going to concerts and checking out the latest art exhibits in the city.
