Susannah Jaffer is passionate about raising awareness of individuals and brands making the retail industry more responsible. She is the founder of ZERRIN.com, Asia's first multi-label e-commerce platform for conscious fashion and beauty brands. Through a curation of responsible retail, content and events, ZERRIN's goal is to enable, educate and empower women to #ShopMeaningfully, and to reignite a sense of connection to our purchases in an accessible, down to earth way.
Previously, Susannah worked for five years in Singapore's media industry as a fashion, beauty editor and creative director, where she spent a large portion of her career interviewing thought leaders, entrepreneurs and designers. After waking up to the social and environmental impact of the fashion industry, she learnt to shop more mindfully and became empowered to share that experience with others, which is how the seed for her business was planted.
In addition to ZERRIN, Susannah is also a writer, photographer and creative consultant, and is regularly called upon to speak about sustainability in the fashion industry and her journey to entrepreneurship. Originally from the UK, she moved to Singapore in 2012 after finishing university to start a new life in Asia.
