With 20 years’ experience negotiating multi-million dollar transactions on behalf of major U.S. companies, Susan is a seasoned negotiator who leverages the power of effective communication on behalf of her clients. Susan is a graduate of Duke University School of Law, and holds both a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. Susan started her legal career in 1998 as a corporate associate at mega firm Clifford Chance in New York. After five formative years in BigLaw, she transitioned in-house to her client, Hearst, to work in the entertainment space.
After moving to Los Angeles for love, Susan joined her present company, Fox, in 2011. As Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs, she manages the legal aspects of the relationship between the FOX network and its broadcast affiliate partners around the country. Recognized as a strategic and inspiring leader, Susan believes that successful negotiation is built upon a foundation of radical empathy. She has distilled her expertise into a simple and practical method for effectively negotiating work and life. Susan lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband, Carlos, and two boys.
